So I have this habit of showing up on time to meetings, but the company culture is generally a bit more relaxed about when to show up to meetings. I’m told it’s getting better.

Sometimes people are shocked that you might be drinking at work (at a work event, in the office). But even at my last job they had “Beer Thirty” - basically work stopped at 4:30 on Fridays so everyone could grab a beer from the ‘fridge. Even so, when I heard this remark I found myself having to change my mental picture of the situation at that last clause…

Actually I’m not going to be totally outnumbered. However, the proportion of my relatives attending is slightly smaller than my fiances. And yes, I know that word should have an accent, but no, I don’t know how to add it right not.

So, those of us in my training all have periodic meetings with their leads (managers). But not all of us have a lot to talk about with their leads, which can lead to a few minutes each week where they struggle to come up with some small talk. This could also be considered the “oh, awkward” part II comic.
